About Green Kamloops
This site is to bring the Kamloops community closer together through sharing of local resources. We can all generate health and wellness in our homes and lives. Let’s talk about technology, reducing our use of fossil fuels, ideas, improving, growing and changing to be more sustainable.
So far it’s just me who is typing here but I would like that to change. This is a wordpress blog so pretty much anyone can have a login. Share your experience, your thoughts your opinions, your ideas about a better world. One where our tie to the planet that sustains us is realized.
In the current goals section please share your lists of wishes or realities about how you want to live in a more sustainable and healthy way.
Artisans and Businesses please tell us about what you grow, bake or make for our community so that we can spend our money with you and keep our wealth close to home.
I would like to meet with other people in Kamloops interested in local food and food security issues. I am very worried about new regulations involving slaughtering of animals. These new regulations will put small farmers out of business or make them never get into the business. We will loss our local meat and fowl production within a few years. If a farmer sells even one chicken without inspection, that farmer become a criminal. We need to organize and stop these foul laws before it is too late to save the local food supply.
